Creation of Suspended Emotions

I was awarded an Arts Council Grant to investigate and pioneer a blacksmith technique I titled “Bone Technique”. The spine consisted of varying sizes of pipe welded together and using a butcher’s tool, the joins are necked and then compressed. The largest sculpture, “Strength of Character” had varied forged spikes and the total length of the spine was over two meters long.
